Mr Sanchez now holds the position of Editorial General Director at Grupo Televisa. Grupo Televisa is the largest media house in the entire Spanish speaking circles. The media house controls a lot of content revolving around television, internet, and telephone services. Grupo Televisa manages content for brands like Marvel Comics Mexico, National Geographic, Marie Clairer, DC Comics, Sports Life, Vertigo, Vanidades, and TV Y Novelas to mention a few.
Porfirio Sanchez Galindo was about to leave Grupo Televisa at a time when the media company was rolling out its new marketing strategy. The marketing blueprint is designed to make keynote changes like creating a subsidized package for TV, Internet, and Telephone for Mexico people. The vision is to connect all Latin American Countries through affordable Internet. Grupo Televisa also aims at making telephone and television services available for all citizens in Latin American countries.
So one can easily understand the plight of Grupo Televisa’s president, Alfonso de Angoitia: he was about to lose that one man who could successfully spearhead the new marketing campaign. During his time as the director general of Grupo Televisa, Mr Sanchez was instrumental in running many of the economic analysis projects for the company. He was charged with overseeing the media house’s growth in a fast moving entertainment niche. A job he did so well with the help of all the stakeholders that partnered with the company.
Mr Sanchez’s resume is definitely a shining one, and one that attracted the eyes of World Bank. The global financial institution made him a lucrative offer that promised to heighten Sanchez’s career. Grupo Televisa had to act faster by offering an even bigger deal and promoting Porfirio Sanchez Galindo to a bigger position.
Today, Mr. Sanchez is quite happy with where he is in his career. He is happy about the new challenges on his desk each day, and is determined to grow the Grupo Televisa brand further.
